Geek love.
While prepping some files for a client yesterday, I decided to re-scan some slides that were tough to get the color right on. Nikon Super Cool Scan + Cinema Display (out of the box, even) = darn near dead on color. No more pesky monitor-generated color casts, no more guessing at color correction.

64 bits of bliss.
Yeah baby – the black box is up and running with an Athlon 64 3200+ with HT. Photoshop opens in half the time and wrangles 16-bit image files like they’re jpegs.
Based on the amount of time I didn’t spend waiting for files to open this morning, I think it’ll pay for itself [...]
