A fun photo feature in the NYT

The New York Times has a neat feature up showing David Burnett’s photos of onlookers at the Apollo 11 launch. Well worth looking through, and, as he comments, proof that you should never throw anything away. Frame #14 is my favorite (but you’ve got to work for it a little) — what’s yours?

Great find! I like #17, #14 looks a little too staged for me, but I like candid photos anyway.
A related find for me, my grandmother passed away about a year ago, and besides being a photographer herself, she was a clutterbug and could not bear throwing anything away.
In sifting through some of her “stuff”, I came across an 8.5×11 envelope labeled “1969 man landing on the moon” that is full of clippings and such. I have not really gone through it yet, but it seems like the right time to do so!
